4.  Exam is on Friday....be early (9 am).  By 9:15 am, if you are not in class with your equipment and textbook, then I will call home to inquire about your absence.  If you are late to the exam, you will not be given any extra time.  If you are absent for the exam, you MUST  have a doctor's note verifying the absence and the reason.  You will write your exam at another time.  Any other reason for your absence will result in a mark of zero.


Be sure that your textbook is your own.
Be sure that you have all of your own supplies, just like during EQAO.
A formula sheet will be provided to you for your exam.

What type of trend do you see?
Draw a line of best fit.
What is the correlation between time and height of the seedlings?
If a seedling grows for 2.5 days, how tall could I expect it to be?
If a seedling is 5 mm tall, how many days might the plant have been growing for?
If a seedling were left to grow for 1 week, how tall could I expect it to be?
If a seedling was 20 mm tall, then how long could the plant have been growing for?
Determine the equation for the line of best fit and double check your values from above. 
Verify all of your findings using your graphing calculator.

Test Day and the New Unit!

3.  TO BE READY FOR TOMORROW, BE SURE TO COME TO CLASS WITH YOUR RULERS, COLOURS AND GRAPH PAPER! We are entering a new unit called analytic geometry where graph paper is necessary.  Improve the quality of your notes and homework by having graph paper available all the time.  This unit should last about a month.


Parent night interviews are next week Wednesday....speak to your parents about possible concerns and let me know what time slot to book you in for!  I am now in Room 338, rather than the portable.
